We are a full-service Accounting firm licensed in Wisconsin. We offer a broad range of services for business owners, executives, and independent professionals. We are affordable, experienced, and friendly.
Our company was founded by Gary Wautier in the late 1970s. Before founding this company, Gary was an office manager in a local CPA firm. Gary realized that small business and professional clients did not receive the personalized accounting and tax services they needed. So, he decided to leave that firm, and established his own practice. Like many accountants beginning their own companies, Gary began by working out of his home. This was followed by moving to an office in Howard, followed by a move to our present location at 2830 Ramada Way in Ashwaubenon, occupying over time three different suites at this site. In 2018, we will expand to two suites in the building, when we add to our office the suite that the firm occupied in the early 2000's. Planning for retirement, Gary sold the practice to Jeffrey Verkuilen in 2010. The company was renamed Wautier & Verkuilen Accounting and Tax Service, Inc. Gary continued to provide tax and transitional services to the company through the 2012 tax season. On January 1, 2014, the company changed its name to Verkuilen & Associates CPAs, Inc. Steve Schmeisser began working with our company at the beginning of 2013, and became an employee in 2014. Genaro Cardaropoli joined us in early 2017. Marie McDougal joined the firm in August 2017. As a testament to our clients’ loyalty and the quality of our services, a number of our clients have been with us for over thirty years. We continue to enjoy steady client growth, and expansion of the services we offer.
