When Fred Sheard started his business as a Certified Accountant in 1903, it is unlikely he imagined that his practice would continue to flourish over 100 years later. The firm continued to practice as Fred Sheard & Sons from its original premises in Kirkgate Buildings in Huddersfield town centre, until the move to its current premises in 1987. As you can imagine, the firm has built up an enviable reputation in that time within the local business community. We have fantastic links with local bankers, solicitors and other professionals within the area, which time and again prove invaluable to our clients. The current ownership structure has been in place since 2003 and the firm's name was changed to Sheards in early 2004. This has resulted in the firm taking a more innovative approach to accounting and extending our range of client services. Part of this change was the formation of Sheards Wealth Management Limited in 2008. This sister company provides investment and retirement planning services to our clients, enabling us to provide our clients with the “one-stop shop” solution to their financial needs. While the firm’s style of business has moved forward enormously in recent times, what has remained unchanged is our dedication to giving our clients outstanding service.
