The Company incubates and sponsors new ventures; invests in early-stage companies; and selectively provides growth capital, strategic management and financial advisory services to businesses looking to drive sustainable growth and create long-term value. In 2004, Meyer Ventures founded Extend Health, Inc. a leading provider of individual and family benefits solutions to corporate America. In 2007, the Company sponsored The American Academy, the first national on-line high school. Ocean Road Advisors Inc. Ocean Road Advisors Inc. is an investment management company founded in 2005 to oversee the family assets of Edward H. Meyer, the former and longstanding Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Grey Global Group, one of the world’s largest advertising, marketing, and communications companies and those of his son, Anthony E. Meyer, a private investor and entrepreneur. Ocean Road Advisors invests directly and indirectly in public and private markets across a range of strategies. The firm also oversees the activities of the family’s philanthropic foundations. Edward H. Meyer is Chairman, Chief Executive and Chief Investment Officer of the firm, his son Anthony E. Meyer serves as President and Chief Operating Officer. Mark A. Varous is Chief Financial Officer. Affiliated entities include Meyer and Co.
