Kennedy Wilson’s management team consists of an experienced group of real estate professionals who have been investing in real estate together for many decades.
William J. McMorrow, Chairman and CEO
William McMorrow is chairman and CEO of Kennedy Wilson, which he acquired in 1988 and has subsequently grown into a leading global real estate investment platform. Kennedy Wilson began with just one office and 11 employees, and today, the company has offices in 15 different markets throughout the United States, United Kingdom, Ireland, Spain, Jersey and Japan with $16 billion of assets under management across the property spectrum. Mr. McMorrow has led the creation of three public companies: Kennedy-Wilson Holdings on the New York Stock Exchange, Kennedy Wilson Japan on the Tokyo Stock Exchange and Kennedy Wilson Europe Real Estate Plc on the London Stock Exchange, whose $1.7 billion IPO represented the largest real estate vehicle listing since the economic downturn and the second largest real estate IPO in the 200-year history of the London Stock Exchange.
Kennedy Wilson entered the European market in 2011 when it served as the catalyst and lead investor in the recapitalization of the Bank of Ireland. The team quickly grew its presence to become one of the top commercial property owners in the country, and then expanded across the continent with offices in Dublin, London, Madrid and Jersey overseeing a $4 billion property portfolio. In 2017, Mr. McMorrow and his team closed a landmark transaction that combined Kennedy Wilson Holdings and Kennedy Wilson Europe Real Estate Plc into one global platform with a simpler structure and an $8 billion enterprise value, generating recurring revenue of over $700 million and positioning the global company for future growth opportunities.
Prior to joining Kennedy Wilson in 1988, Mr. McMorrow served in the banking industry for 17 years. He was Executive Vice President and Chairman of the Credit Policy Committee at Imperial Bank in Los Angeles and held senior positions with a variety of financial service firms, including eight years as a Senior Vice President of Fidelity Bank in Pennsylvania.
Mr. McMorrow and Kennedy Wilson have been profiled in many publications including the New York Times, Barron’s, Irish Times, Los Angeles Business Journal and PERE. In 2012, Real Estate Forum magazine selected Mr. McMorrow as one of Southern California's Real Estate Icons. In 2015, he was honored by the Ireland Chamber of Commerce in the United States with the Sir Michael Smurfit Business Achievement Award for his years of leadership and his contributions to Ireland, and in May 2017 he was a recipient of the Ellis Island Medal of Honor.
Additionally, Mr. McMorrow is involved in many charities, including Chrysalis, which honored him with the Spirit of Chrysalis Award in 2005; Navy SEAL Foundation, where he serves as a Trustee; and City of Hope, which honored him in 2014 at its Spirit of Life Celebration.
Mr. McMorrow attended Loyola High School and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business as well as his MBA from the University of Southern California, where he serves as a Trustee. He is also on the Executive Board of the USC Lusk Center for Real Estate and endowed the William J. McMorrow Global Real Estate Program at the USC Marshall School of Business. Mr. McMorrow’s other philanthropic interests include supporting Loyola High School, which honored him with the Cahalan Award for Distinguished Alumni in 2010 and where he serves on the Loyola High School Board of Regents.
Mike Pegler, President, Europe
Mike is President, Europe, overseeing all aspects of Kennedy Wilson’s European business operations. He joined Kennedy Wilson in 2015, previously serving as the head of asset management for Europe and becoming head of the UK business in 2019.
Mike brings over 20 years’ experience in the property and investment industry. He worked at The Blackstone Group for 10 years, where he was a Managing Director in the Real Estate Group, working primarily on their series of opportunistic funds. Mike worked on investments across Europe and across all asset types with a particular focus on the UK market. He led the management of and exits from some of Blackstone’s largest and most successful deals over that period including Broadgate, Chiswick Park, and Center Parcs UK. In addition, he led the management and the build-up of its pan-European logistics business, Logicor. Prior to Blackstone, Mike was at Deloitte.
Mike is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales.
Peter Collins, Global Sustainability Officer
Peter is Global Sustainability Officer for Kennedy Wilson, having previously held the positions of President of Kennedy Wilson Europe, Chief Operating Officer, and Head of Ireland. Peter joined when Kennedy Wilson acquired the business of Bank of Ireland Real Estate Investment Management in June 2011. Prior to this Peter was responsible for the development of that business from 2003 and brings over thirty years of experience in the financial services and investment industry.
Previously, Peter held roles with Bank of Ireland as director of Private Banking, and latterly director of Asset Management. Peter is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, having qualified with Arthur Andersen in Dublin. He holds a Bachelor of Law from Trinity College, Dublin.
Mrs. Padmini Singla, General Counsel, Europe
Padmini Singla is the General Counsel for Kennedy Wilson Europe. Based in London, she joined the firm in 2014 and is responsible for legal, regulatory, risk, governance and compliance functions for Kennedy Wilson’s European transactions and operations.
Prior to joining KW Europe, Padmini practiced law in the corporate finance department at Ashurst LLP in London. Before joining Ashurst, Padmini practiced law as a commercial litigator in New Delhi, India. Padmini graduated from Delhi University, India with an Honours degree in English Literature and also received an LL.B. from Delhi University, India. She is qualified to practice law in India, England and Ireland.
Peter McKenna, Head of Development, Europe
Peter heads up Kennedy Wilson Europe’s development business with an extensive pipeline of new build and refurbishment projects. Since joining in 2012, Peter has played a key role in the acquisition, management and delivery of a development portfolio including prime residential, commercial and mixed-use sites.
Prior to this he was a principal and director in a number of development and retail businesses. He is a Chartered Surveyor and holds a Business and Economics degree from Trinity College, Dublin.
Andrew Fannin, CFO, Europe
Andrew is the CFO for Kennedy Wilson Europe and leads the Company’s Finance Team, having previously held the positions of Head of Finance and European Treasurer. Andrew joined the Company in August 2013 and has over 10 years’ experience in real estate finance.
Previously, Andrew worked with KPMG in their Audit & Assurance Division in Dublin and with Grant Thornton in Melbourne, Australia. He is a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland (FCA).
Stefan Foster, Head of Acquisitions & Commercial, Ireland
Stefan is the Head of Acquisitions & Commercial, Ireland overseeing all transactions and the asset management of the commercial portfolio in Ireland. He joined Kennedy Wilson in 2013 and brings over 24 years and €7 billion of transactions experience in the property industry across all sectors.
Prior to Kennedy Wilson, Stefan was an equity partner in Warren Private, where he managed a €3 billion+ portfolio of commercial assets in the United States, UK, and Europe. Stefan also spent time at CBRE, where he focused on capital markets and office agency. He is a qualified Chartered Surveyor and is a member of both the RICS and the SCSI and sits on the Council for ULI Ireland.
Matt Milroy, Head of Asset Management, UK
Matt is Head of Asset Management, UK and oversees all asset management in the UK. He joined KW in July 2015 and brings twenty years’ experience in the property industry. Previously, Mr. Milroy worked for 10 years at Mapeley Estates, a Fortress Investment Group owned Real Estate company, where he was Head of Asset Management working on investments across multiple asset classes and funds with a focus on the UK market.
Parm Nijjar, Managing Director
Parm is a Managing Director at Kennedy Wilson Europe, having joined the business in June 2014, and is responsible for debt origination and execution in the UK and Ireland for a large Canadian insurance company. Additional responsibilities include managing the joint venture relationships with AXA (equity) and a large sovereign wealth fund (credit) and managing our financial analysis and deal execution team in London.
Previously, Parm worked at Deloitte for nine years within Corporate Finance and Financial Services Audit. He is a Chartered Accountant (ICAEW) and holds a Masters in Aeronautical Engineering from Imperial College, London.
Steve Fennell, Managing Director
Steve is responsible for acquisition and asset management of UK assets. Steve joined KW in 2013 with over 30 years’ industry experience. At KW he has executed several billion dollars of transactions in the UK across a range of asset classes, and managed a large portfolio of offices, Business Parks and industrial assets in London and the South East. This has included a number of significant refurbishment and development projects securing a number of key leasing, lease regear/rent review deals to deliver enhance values. Prior to joining KW, Steve worked at Deutsche Bank initially running the Asset Management team across all asset classes in the UK followed by running the acquisition team across the core plus and value-add funds.
