When my wife, Cheryl, was five years old, her father passed away. Although I never met him, by all accounts he was a good and honorable man. However, he hadn’t adequately protected his family from this type of event, leaving my wife and her mother financially devastated. This caused them to struggle terribly and in fact, when I met Cheryl, they didn’t even have a TV. And this was in the 70s’! Why do we do this? To make sure that never happens to anyone we’re able to touch and help. Why do we do what we do? Because in the United States of America, there is more financial opportunity than anywhere else in the World and yet the majority of Americans are not able to enjoy the lifestyle they would like in retirement. In fact, most don’t live the lifestyle they would prefer prior to retirement either. That’s just not right! We do this so that we can change that reality with the clients we work with. Why do we do what we do? Because in the financial services industry in which we work, the vast majority of financial planners, brokers, and the like never even show their clients the type of unique products we work with every day. And it’s not because they’re not aware of them. And its not because they’re not often in their clients’ best interest. It’s because its not in the agents’ best interest financially.
