STUART COATES Stuart was born in Port Elizabeth in 1980 and matriculated from Grey High School in 1998. After completing a B Com degree in 2004 Stuart moved abroad to Asia, where he was primarily based in Taipei, Taiwan. He worked as an independent communications consultant to the senior management of large multinational companies such as Samsung, Hon Hai Precision Engineering and Calyon (a subsidiary of French investment bank Credit Agricole). Stuart returned to South Africa in 2008, joined NFB Private Wealth Management in 2009 and successfully completed a post graduate diploma in financial planning from the University of the Free State in the same year. Stuart started Coates Capital in 2010, incorporating a specialised investment consultancy. Stuart specialises in all aspects of investments and takes an active role in conducting thorough research for new and existing portfolios. His time spent in Asia has given him a far greater understanding of the region and its effects on the investment universe. Coates Capital offers a range of financial services across the full financial planning spectrum. This allows us to adequately assess each individual or company and find the appropriate solution.
