On May 4, 2016 Azimuth Financial Planning, LLC merged its operation with Resolute Financial, LLC of Newburyport, MA. The merger will result in the largest Fee-Only financial planning firm between Boston and southern New Hampshire, with offices in Chelmsford, Newburyport, and Lynnfield Massachusetts along with Dover, and Portsmouth New Hampshire. The combined firm which will retain the Resolute Financial name, and will provide financial planning services to over 250 clients and have over of $180 million under advisement. Once the merger is complete the firm will employ six Certified Financial PlannersTM with over 80 years of financial planning experience. Each of the firm’s planners work in a Fee-Only manner and are members of the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA). NAPF A members receive no commissions or other rewards for selling financial products. All NAPF A members must sign a Fiduciary Oath, in that they explicitly promise to "to place the clients' interests first." Several members of the Resolute Financial team are listed as a Five Star Wealth Manager in New Hampshire and Massachusetts, and have appeared on Public Television, and in many publications such as the Boston Globe, the Baltimore Sun, and the Dow Jones newswire. In 2014 Resolute Financial was named to Financial Advisor magazine’s list of leading Independent Financial Advisory firms for the fifth consecutive year. Bill Simpson will be a managing partner at Resolute Financial and will continue to provide Fee-Only financial planning services in the Portsmouth, NH office.
